The Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario provide funding support for this initiative to meet their goal of increasing access to professions and trades for internationally trained individuals. Many healthcare occupations, regulated by professional licensing bodies, have associated Bridging Programs that familiarize internationally educated professionals with Canadian practice standards. English language fluency at Canadian Language Benchmark 7 (CLB) is a common entrance requirement for these Bridging Programs.
The Pre-Bridging program addresses the specific language needs of internationally trained individuals in health care. To register for these courses, you must be assessed at Canadian Level Benchmark 5 and 6.
