Virtually nothing moves, turns, rolls, or flies without the benefit of cast metal products. The metal casting industry plays a key role in all the major sectors of our economy. There are castings in locomotives, cars, trucks, aircraft, office buildings, factories, schools and homes. Mohawk College, in partnership with the Canadian Foundry Association (CFA) has designed this certificate for those who are currently employed in foundry, metal casting and related industries to provide them with opportunities to upgrade their skills. It will also provide an opportunity for people employed in other fields to explore metal casting. The program has been designed to provide the theoretical and practical knowledge of metal castings and quality control concepts that are currently needed in the Metal Casting Industry.
Courses offered in Fall and Winter terms only.
