Heather Werkman - CCAA Women's Soccer Athlete of the Month
The Canadian Colleges Athletic Association has announced Mohawk soccer player Heather Werkman is its Women's Soccer Athlete of the Month in Ontario for October. The CCAA Athlete of the Month program recognizes student-athletes at colleges across the country for their outstanding event performance and athletic accomplishments during that month.

In making its announcement, the CCAA says the rookie Werkman, a first year Practical Nursing student at Mohawk, has proven to be a dominant force on the field. As a fullback with the Mountaineers, Heather is a dedicated player, giving 100% on and off the field.
