Quiz Bowl
The OCMC kicks off on Thursday night with the Quiz Bowl hosted at the Mohawk College Fennell Campus in the McIntyre Theatre. Everyone attends this exciting event to cheer on their home college.
As a Quiz Bowl competitor, you will be paired with three other students from different colleges. If your team of four makes it through this round-robin event, each college represented on the team will receive points. Two teams face off in each round of the event until the winner is declared. Ten different questions will be asked each round.
 Textbooks
60% of the Quiz Bowl questions are drawn from the glossaries of the following 3 textbooks:
- Only definitions that begin with the letter “ A” to “ I ” will be selected from:
Contemporary Marketing, 2nd Canadian Edition, Boone, Nelson Thompson
- Only definitions that begin with the letter “J” to “ Q” will be selected from:
Canadian Marketing in Action, 8th Edition, Tuckwell, Pearson Education
- Only definitions that begin with the letter “R” to “ Z” will be selected from:
Marketing, 7th Canadian Edition, Crane, McGraw-Hill
40% of the Quiz Bowl questions are drawn from the content of the following magazines:
