All OCMC competition case and individual events will take place at the Sheraton Hotel on King Street, located in the heart of the Hamilton business district and directly across from the Hamilton Art Gallery. The Sheraton is connected to Copps Coliseum, the Hamilton Convention Centre, and two great shopping malls.
Hotel room accommodations for OCMC includes an indoor pool, a state-of-the-art Spa and Fitness Centre, a shopping concourse, 2 in-house restaurants, the Hamilton library and Hamilton Farmers Market. As well, an indoor walkway, Summers Lane, connects to the Hamilton Art Gallery. Within walking distance to the west of the hotel is the exciting Hess Village.
The Hotel’s 301 deluxe guest rooms, with views of Lake Ontario or the Niagara Escarpment allow patrons to settle in and enjoy their stay. The plush mattress, warm blanket, cozy duvet, and crisp sheets of the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper (SM) Bed beckon after a full day spent competing in various events.
Within walking distance of the hotel to the west is the trendy Hess Village. East of the hotel the historic Gore Park is located. For luncheon opportunities, try the London Tap house on John Street, Honest Lawyer in Jackson Square or famous Slante Irish Pub on Bowen. For those who are Football fans, the Canadian Football Hall of Fame is a few blocks south of the hotel.

Rates:
The discounted OCMC room rate is $119.00 per night for single or double occupancy. Triple and quad accommodations are available at an additional $15 per person, per day. Maximum occupancy is four (4) adults per guestroom.
Underground Parking:
A special underground parking rate is available to hotel guests. The charge of $9.99 per night, which allows for in/out privileges is available to each guest of Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition 2009. Simply take a ticket upon entering the parking garage. Present this ticket upon arrival at the hotel front desk and you will be issue a pass valid for the duration of your stay. Each night, the charge of $9.99 will be posted to your guestroom folio.
Extending your Stay:
If you would like to extend your stay in Hamilton, we have arranged for the discounted room rates to be available two (2) days pre the event (Nov 17 & 18) and two (2) days post the event.
Room reservations may be made by calling the hotel directly at 905 529-5515 and asking for the special convention rate for the Ontario Colleges’ Marketing Competition. Reservations must be received by October 16, 2009.

Check-in Requirements:
For incidentals, the hotel will require either a credit card number or cash deposit in the amount of $25 to be reimbursed at departure if there are no pending room charges.
The hotel will attempt to keep each College’s team rooms on the same hotel floor.
Room Cancellations:
Any reservation which fails to materialize and has not been cancelled a minimum of 48 hours prior to arrival will be charged one night’s room and tax to the credit card provided at the time of booking.
The Security Deposit:
All participating colleges are required to collect a $25 security deposit from each participant. All funds will be held by college representatives and will be paid to the hotel in the event that the hotel or a hotel patron suffers any loss or damage to property. It is agreed that each college will be responsible to remit, to the host college, up to $25 per student in compensation for any such loss or damage. We ask each college to assign a representative to collect and hold these funds until the hotel account has been cleared by Mohawk College. This should be completed within two weeks of the competition.
