Graduates of Medical Technology programs are in short supply. Graduate employment for 2003, surveyed approx. six months after graduation, was reported as 89% for CVT graduates, 93% for DCS graduates, 100% for MRT and DMS graduates. Starting salaries reported for 2003 for medical technology graduates ranged from $30,000 to $49,000 annually.

Mohawk College currently provides undergraduate (post secondary), education for Radiological Technologists, Radiation Therapists, and Diagnostic Medical Sonographers through a collaborative diploma/degree program in Medical Radiation Sciences with McMaster University. Upon the successful completion of the program, graduates receive both Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology from Mohawk College and a Bachelor of Science Degree (Medical Radiation Sciences) from McMaster University.

In addition, we provide graduate certificate education in the field of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography, to people already credentialled in another Health Profession, through our 1 year Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography Program.

Educational Seminars and Wokshops on topics of interest to Medical Radiation Technologists, Radiological Technologists, C.T. Technologists, M.R.I. Technologists, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, Diagnostic Sonographers, Physicians and many Allied Health Professionals, are offered across Canada thru our Mohawk - M.T.M.I. Educational partnership.

Degree Completion
