The Program The Medical Radiation Sciences program is a four-year, integrated College-University program. The Medical Radiation Sciences program encompasses the three professional disciplines of Radiography, Ultrasonography, and Radiation Therapy. The program commences with a common first year, after which successful students are directed into one of the three program specializations. Graduates of this program receive both an Ontario College Advanced Diploma from Mohawk College and a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Sciences Degree from McMaster University. Program of Studies Requirements Level 1 (30 units)
Note: if a student has not completed Grade 12 Physics U, with 60% or higher, Physics 1L03 must be taken in place of the elective. If a student has not completed the Grade 12 Calculus and Vectors U, Math 1F03 must be taken in place of the elective. On successful completion of Level 1, students are directed into one of the three professional programs: Radiography, Ultrasonography, or Radiation Therapy. RadiographyIncludes discipline specific courses in radiation physics and safety, radiation biology, human anatomy and pathology, radiographic equipment, radiographic imaging procedures, film analysis and film interpretation, and introduction to computed tomography (CT scanning), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or breast diagnosis and treatment.
