Sue graduated from the Brantford Campus of the Child & Youth Worker program in 1996. She began her career as a Youth Support Worker at Saltfleet High School in Stoney Creek, while maintaining a casual relief position with Haldimand-Norfolk R.E.A.C.H. Residential Unit.
Sue has been working at Mohawk College as a professor and now holds the position of academic coordinator.
Sue has a BA in Social Development at the University of Waterloo and is a long standing member of the OACYC.

Alexandra graduated in 1984 from the University of Western Ontario with a B.A. in Sociology/Psychology. She also completed her Child and Youth Worker Diploma from Mohawk College in 1993.
Alexandra first began teaching at Mohawk College for the Social Sciences Department (Introductory to Sociology). Alexandra has been working at Mohawk College as a professor and now holds the position of filed placement coordinator. She previously taught in the Continuing Education CYW Program and is a past member of the CYW Advisory Committee. Alexandra is presently a member of the OACYC.
Alexandra's previous work experience includes Child and Youth Work in both Residential and Day Treatment Settings, Special Needs Worker and Facilitator for Temper Management Groups. |

Nancy currently holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo, a Child Care Worker Diploma from George Brown College in Toronto and a Masters of Education from Nipissing University. As well, Nancy has pursued studies through the Child and Family Studies Program at the University of Guelph.
Nancy has a varied work experience including residential treatment and family work at a front-line and supervisory level for Thistletown Regional Centre and the Dellcrest Childrens Centre in Toronto. She has held positions in both the Perth County and Huron County CAS and as Community Child Abuse Coordinator for Huron County. She has directed in-school and home-based treatment programs for developmentally delayed children, and has provided treatment services to students in the school system. as well as serving as a consultant for the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board. Most recently Nancy has maintained her clinical involvement with Carpe Diem Residential Therapeutic Treatment Homes for Children as a Case Manager.
Nancy is a long-standing member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Counselors (OACYC), and has served in an executive position in two separate terms. In June 2009 she was recognized for valuable contributions to the field of Child and Youth Work and the OACYC.
Nancy began her career at Mohawk on a part-time basis in 1992, moving to full-time professor in 1994. While at Mohawk, Nancy has been honoured to receive the “Student Appreciation Award” in 1995, the “President’s Award for Excellence” in 2007, and also in 2007 a “Week of the Child and Youth Award” for dedication to improving the lives of children and youth in the Hamilton Community. | . |

Geraldine has worked in three departments: Futures, Language Studies and the CYW Program since beginning at Mohawk College in 1986. In 1989 she became a full time faculty member and began in the CYW Program in 1995. Geraldine received her C.C.W. diploma from Camosun College, affiliated with the University of Victoria. She furthered her education in the University of Victoria receiving her Teaching Certificate specializing in Special Education and Remedial Education. As a teacher, Geraldine has had a variety of experiences: elementary, middle, senior secondary, and special needs classrooms.
Previous work experience includes working with families, parenting and behavior groups, setting up new programs for minority groups, support services, supervising employees and in a special needs classroom, as the primary CYW worker.

Marco graduated in 1999 from the CYW program at Mohawk College. During that time he was hired at the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board. Marco worked with at-risk students at the SALEP Centre, Parkview and other schools with in the School Board as a Counsellor. Marco was also a supply teacher for this school board.
Marco then graduated form the Ryerson Child and Youth Care Program and then received a Masters in Education from Medaille University. Marco has been working for the past 9 years at numerous child protection agencies, foster homes, treatment facilities, probation services, and mental health facilities. Marco has also been heavily involved in an innovative project in Hamilton called Youth Net where he has facilitated over 500 focus group around mental health and youth stressors. Lastly, Marco has been involved in Improv Care where he works on movie sets, and in other entertainment sectors delivering academic and counselling skills to child actors or children of actors who are unable to attend school due to their career choice in acting.
Marco is currently a full time faculty member who works in both Continuing Education as well as the Day program teaching classes and supervising students who are on placement. Marco is presently a member of the OACYC.

Jane has worked as a Child and Youth worker in a treatment setting, taught Special Education at elementary school and was a Life Skills coach for adolescents.
She has taught a variety of psychology courses to adults and currently focuses on Therapeutic Programming.

Kelley Hoyt graduated from the Child and Youth Worker Program at Mohawk College in 1998 and has been teaching in the CYW program since 2002. After College, Kelley completed her Bachelor of Professional Arts degree through distance education at Athabasca University. Starting in 1999, Kelley was employed by the Brant Haldimand Catholic District School Board as an itinerant C.Y.W. and also served as their head of department in 2005. Kelley worked at Nova Vita Women's services as a Residential Counsellor as well.
Kelley is an ongoing member and supporter of the OACYC. She has been a member since she was a student in 1997. Kelley received the Dawn Patrol Supervisors Award of Excellence in May 2002. She is currently undergoing training for the Youth Justice Committee through the John Howard Society and will begin this volunteer role in August 2008.

Linda is the Assistant to the Associate Dean, who joined the School of Human Services Department in October 1999. She has been with the College since 1986 and worked in the Continuing Education area for many years. She has and has taken many courses at Mohawk College, from Business Computers to Dancing and Canoeing.
