The Centre for Teaching and Learning provides services to staff and faculty in the following areas:

Curriculum Design

We can help you with: curriculum and program renewal, program mapping, curriculum design and course outlines. We can help you make sense of learning outcomes, rubrics and other aspects of the course outline.

Faculty/Teaching and Learning Professional Development

We design and develop professional development programs, workshops and activities. Please see the Faculty Development , Admin Development, and Staff Development pages for details. If there is a professional development program you would like to see, let us know. Or, fill out the appropriate form to request specific professional development for your department.

e-Learning

We support the Learning Management Systems on campus and can assist you with designing and developing your online courses. We  also offer the following services to integrate technology into your teaching:

  • e-Learning workshops and courses
  • academic blog, survey and website hosting
  • digital media development and streaming media services
  • faculty media workstation (where you can sit down and use a variety of software packages)
  • Classroom Performance System (clickers) signout for use in your classroom
  • Electronic Teamboard signout

 

Library

Library MediaThe Library can help you:

  • identify resources to support your teaching both online and in print
  • integrate library research skills into your courses by offering a Research Skills Instruction class to your students
  • formulate assignments based on resources available to your students through the Library
  • develop the best way to teach students about academic honesty and how to format a bibliography or Works Cited list
  • link to library resources directly from within your course webpages
