Clickers/Classroom performance system (CPS)
Encourage participation!
What are they?
The CPS is an easy-to-use polling system – think Who Wants to Be a Millionaire game show.
Why would you use them?
Clickers allow you to:
• construct, organize, and deliver your own interactive set of questions;
• create review materials;
• integrate impromptu questions into existing presentations;
• generate performance reports.
Clickers encourage students to:
• participate – anonymously or identified;
• engage with the material through the “game show approach”;
• check and/or solidify understanding.
How to use them at Mohawk?
CPS - Things You Should Know
Sets of clickers (32 per set) are housed in CTL. Request a set.
eInstruction, the supplier of CPS, provides helpful manuals and videos. Check out the eInstruction site! Hint: Limit to the format you prefer using the site’s tabs.
Check out the PD calendar for upcoming CPS sessions or grab a few colleagues and request a session!
Your colleagues using CPS in their classrooms have also generously offered their expertise. Feel free to contact them:
