teaching for success iconTeaching for Success Program – Part-time and Partial Load Faculty
This two day program is designed for all part-time and partial load faculty who have been recently hired by the college. The focus of the program is on the essentials for college teaching: learning styles and student diversity, lesson planning, assessment, hybrid learning, and classroom management. This program is usually offered in August and repeated in December. Check the PD calendar   for dates. See a sample agenda.

Faculty Development Workshops
The staff in the Centre for Teaching and Learning with input from the Faculty Development Advisory Committee offer professional development workshops for faculty and academic staff. Workshops are designed to mirror the phases of faculty development (new and experienced) and to align with the college’s strategic plan. Consult the PD Calendar for a list of upcoming workshops. Workshops are typically offered in May/June/August and at other nonteaching times.

Departmental PD Workshops
Individual departments are encouraged to request professional development workshops for their own area on a topic of interest and at a time that meets the needs of the department. To request a workshop, submit a Departmental PD request form . The Faculty Development Specialist will assist the academic department with finding a speaker.
