Departmental PD
If your department would like to arrange for an in-house speaker on a topic related to Teaching and Learning, submit the Speaker Request Form to the Centre for Teaching and Learning.
Tuition Assistance
The Staff Tuition Assistance Program has been developed to foster a learning environment for full-time staff by providing financial assistance for certificate, diploma or degree programs taken outside Mohawk College with the ultimate goal of providing the best educational experience possible for Mohawk College students. Educational goals and outcomes must complement the college's strategic direction. Mohawk College will reimburse 50% for eligible courses and/or programs - see the PD Policy & Procedures for details about eligibility.

Conference Funding
Six hundred dollars per year is available to faculty and support staff for conference attendance. Fill out the Conference Funding Application to apply for funding.
Professional Development Leaves
A professional development leave is an opportunity for staff members to pursue professional development activities outside the College through further academic or technical studies, or in industry, that will enhance your ability to fulfill your professional responsibilities. Staff members will have to complete six years of service with the College in order to be eligible for a PD leave. Forms need to be submitted by the end of February.
