Common methodology has been used for the calculations for all program related information provided by all colleges. However, differences may exist between how Universities and Private colleges calculate their data. For example, graduate employment rates for college graduates are based on surveys conducted 6 months after graduation, whereas university graduate employment rates are based on surveys conducted 2 years after graduation.

The Approved Program Sequence Code (APS) is a number assigned for each approved program by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY:
To maintain confidentiality in light of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, information has not been publish May 7, 2009 the number in the labour force or the number of individuals in receipt of an Ontario Student Load is less than five.

Default, employment and graduation rates are rounded to one tenth of one percent

Key Performance Indicators (K.P.I.) as posted at the Ontario Colleges website. The K.P.I. project is a collaborative venture between Ontario 's college system and the provincial government. Results from three of the Key Performance Indicators - graduate employment, graduate satisfaction and employer satisfaction - are used as the basis for performance funding from the province.
