Monica Gallagher is a Chartered Professional Accountant, CPA, CA. She has been a professional accountant for over 25 years. She is currently the Coordinator of the Accounting program at Mohawk College.
Monica began her accounting career with a global accounting firm and remained with them for 13 years. The majority of her time she was working in the audit area, working on large public companies to small businesses. She was a Senior Manager when she left this position to stay home with her children.
After her 5 years hiatus from the working world, Monica returned to work as a Vice President, Finance for an insurance broker. After a couple of years, she wanted a change and has since been teaching at Mohawk College.
Monica has taught a variety of courses at Mohawk from introductory financial accounting to intermediate financial accounting, taxation, management accounting, finance, math and software applications.
