Anne Devorski (Wilson)
Anne Devorski (Wilson) achieved unparalleled success in not one, but two demanding sports. In 1980 Anne led the Mohawk College Women's Volleyball team to the OCAA Gold Medal, was the team MVP, OCAA tournament MVP, and Women's Volleyball MVP. Then, in 1981 she led the Women's basketball team to the OCAA Gold Medal, was OCAA basketball tournament MVP, and Mohawk College MVP in both Volleyball and Basketball. She won the Mohawk College Outstanding Female Athlete Award the same year. A nursing graduate, Anne received a Volleyball scholarship to Santa Clara University after graduating from Mohawk in 1981
Hap and Evie Holman
Hap and Evie Holman and Curling! At Mohawk College the words are inseparable! For over 25 years Hap has been a Mohawk institution as a Business instructor, Varsity Coach and Ontario and Canadian College Curling Consultant. Evie teamed with Hap shortly after 1968 and the Holmans have enjoyed tremendous success and respect throughout the Curling fraternity. The Hap Holman Bonspiel for over 15 years, stands as the College's most profiled Alumni event and reflects their dedication and involvement in Curling.
Roland Brack
Roland Brack dominated OCAA Men's Cross Country running 3 straight years. He outclassed the competition winning OCAA Men's Individual Gold Medals in 1979, 1980, and 1981. He became the first individual in OCAA history to capture 3 consecutive Gold Medals. Roland was also honoured as the Outstanding Male Freshman Athlete in 1979. A graduate of the Mechanical Drafting program in 1981, Roland achieved World success, capturing a I.A.A.F Bronze medal in 1977 in Germany.
