Make Mohawk your first choice!

Follow these 10 steps to make your college application simple and have the best chance to earn entrance into your program of choice

Step 1: Do your research
Not sure what program to choose? Ask questions, call employers in the field, browse our website or visit us for a tour and see an advisor to help you make the best choice.

Step 2: Check the admission requirements
Admission requirements are specific to individual programs. Competitive programs may have additional entrance requirements and limited seats.

Step 3: Apply at Ontario Colleges
February 1 is the deadline for September and June 1 is the deadline for January programs. Pay special attention to requirements for competitive programs. Apply at Ontario Colleges (opens new window).

Step 4: Acknowledgement
Once you have applied to Mohawk you’ll receive an acknowledgement from Ontario Colleges with information about how to access MOCOmotion (opens new window), Mohawk’s portal.

Step 5: Receive an offer
Congratulations! Offers for competitive programs for Fall are released mid-March. All other Fall program offers are released on February 1.

Step 6: Confirm your Offer
Do not wait to confirm your offer! Watch for your student info package

Step 7: Assessments for Success
Complete your Assessment for Success.

Step 8: Financial Matters
Receive your fee statement and registration package. Pay your tuition deposit to hold your spot. Learn more at Tuition and Fees.

Step 9: Registration
Once the balance of your fees are paid OR financial arrangements are made, select your timetable in MOCOmotion (opens new window) to register.

Step 10: You’ve arrived!
Congratulations! You've made it! Don't forget to register for Day One Orientation and to also check out all the great student services here to help you succeed!
