Office Administration – Legal Diploma
The Office Administration - Legal program is a two-year Ontario College Diploma offered at Fennell Campus in Hamilton, Ontario. Legal office administration is a fast-growing occupation with diverse employment opportunities.
Students will learn about real estate law, litigation procedures, family law, wills and estates, and corporate law. They will also:
- Learn to prepare legal documents, correspondence, accounts, and memoranda using a variety of computer applications and specialized legal software
- Develop professionalism, effective handling of confidential information and client files, and advanced administrative skills for the legal environment
- Experience guest speakers from the local legal community, networking opportunities, and practice interviews
- Benefit from career-related class materials and resources
- Prepare for future education and career opportunities in the legal field, such as court reporters, law clerks, paralegals, office managers, administrators, and corporate trainers
- Participate in a two-week program-related work placement in the legal community
Student have membership opportunities with the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
Semesters 1 and 2 are common to the Office Administration Executive, Legal, and Medical programs. Students develop into discipline specialists in semesters 3 and 4.
Graduate Opportunities
