Highlights
- Learn to teach children and adults with visual disabilities to move safely, effectively, gracefully, purposefully and independently
- Develop specific techniques to identify the particular needs and interests of individual clients
- Experience practical learning under blindfold or low vision simulation
- Observe, practice, assess and develop individual plans for a variety of clients at an educational or rehabilitation agency
- Participate in a supervised, 12 week comprehensive (full-time) clinical fieldwork placement

Admission Requirements
- A college diploma or university degree preferably in (but not restricted to) the Humanities, Arts or Education
- Previous related work or volunteer experience is strongly recommended
Note: Students who do not have access to a car or personal transportation may have limited field placement opportunities.
Note: Registered students who have been convicted of an offence under the criminal code for which they have not been pardoned may be denied the opportunity to enter clinical placement. A certificate of "Police Clearance" and document entailing vulnerable sector screening and a criminal records check will be requested by the field placement agency.
