What are the camp hours of operation?

The camp program runs Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Early drop off is available beginning at 8:00am each day and late pickup runs until 5:30pm. During this time, campers will be provided with a variety of games and activities. There is no extra charge for extended care.

How much does it cost to attend a week of camp?

March Break Camp
$180 per week
Free Extended Care available 8:00am - 5:30pm

Summer Day Camps
$180 per week for general camps (WOW, Fusion, Jr. Hawks)
$200 per week for specialty camps (Power of Dance, Bieber Fever)
$300 two week program (Triple Threat)
$150 4-day week (July 3-6 & August 7-10)

Free Extended Care available 8:00am - 5:30pm

How do I register?

You can register online if you are paying by Visa or Mastercard by clicking on the Online Camp Registration link, or you can download and print the registration form off this website and mail or fax it in or you can register in person with payment.

What is included in the registration fee?

The registration fee includes camp T-shirt, all activities/presenters, offsite trip, extended care and Friday's lunch. Campers are responsible for their own lunches/snacks unless otherwise noted.

Where is the camp located?

All Summer Camp programs are based out of the F-Wing classrooms, and Portables at the Fennell Campus.

March Break Camp is based out of the Fennell Campus Gymnasium.

Where do I park for drop off and pick up.

Who are the camp counsellors?

The Mohawk College Camp Staff are College, University and High School students with past experience as camp counsellors, coaches or with other children’s programs.  All staff require a Police Criminal Record Check and are First Aid/C.P.R. 'C' trained.

Can parents visit their children during the camp sessions?

Parents wishing to visit their children during the camp day are asked to limit visits to lunch time.

What to bring?

On the first day of camp all campers will be given an official camp T-shirt and name tag.   Campers are required to wear their camp T-shirt and name tag each day.  

During March Break Camp, campers will be required to bring outdoor clothing and indoor shoes.

All campers are required to bring to camp with them each day: a backpack with a light jacket or sweater, sunscreen, bug repellent, water bottle and running shoes.

Please do not send your child with sandals, heelys, or crocs.

Campers are asked to leave all valuables at home as Mohawk College will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen items while at camp.  Please note that toys, MP3 players, Webkinz, iPods, video games, trading cards, etc are not permitted at camp. Cell phones must be left in back packs.

Please label all clothing and belongings.  Any items unclaimed will be donated to charity.

Is your camp nut-free?

Yes, our camp is NUT FREE and we request that you do not pack any peanut or nut products in your children’s lunch.

Parents: Although we ban peanuts from our programs, we cannot guarantee that the College environment is peanut free.

Do you provide transportation to the camps?

No.  All transportation must be arranged by parents/guardians.

What happens if I have to cancel?

Full refunds will be made up to two weeks prior to the start date of the camp.  Refunds after this date will be subject to a $50.00 admin fee.

Is there a registration deadline? Is there a waiting list?

All camps are filled on a first come first serve basis.  A waiting list is available in case of cancellations. If a camp you wish to register for is Sold Out, please call the Camp Office at 905-575-2062 to be added to our Waiting List.

Does my child have to bring a lunch/snacks?

Snack breaks are scheduled in the morning and afternoon and lunch is scheduled at 12:00pm each day unless otherwise communicated.  Please ensure your child eats a substantial breakfast as there are a variety of active sessions.  All food and beverages should be kept in plastic or metal containers.  Please do not send glass of any kind. 

Parents wishing to pick their children up for lunch must notify the Camp Staff at sign-in and should ensure that their child is brought back to the camp by 12:30pm for the afternoon activities.

Please do not send money with your child.  Vending machines and cafeterias are out of bounds.

Friday is Pizza Day – campers will receive 2 pieces of pizza and a drink.   Campers may wish to bring an additional snack in their lunch.

How old must my child be to attend camp?

The minimum age requirement is 6 years old for March Break Camp.  The minimum age requirement is 5 years old for Summer Camp programs. Please refer to the camp descriptions to see the specific age break downs.

What if my child wants to leave during camp?

If your child must leave camp during the day, a permission note must be given to the Camp Staff at sign-in.  Please specify which day and time they will be leaving, who they will be picked up by and when they will be returning to camp.

Offsite trips are scheduled weekly for participating camps and are included in the registration fees.  In addition to the weekly offsite trip, some camp activities may occur at offsite locations that are within walking distance of Mohawk College (ie. Buchanan Park).

Does Mohawk College make accommodations for children with a disability or special need?

Senior Staff deal with requests on an individual basis attempting to accommodate needs where resources allow.
Mohawk College Camps welcomes children with special needs but we are not able to provide one-on-one care for children. We do allow workers to attend camp with the child, however camp fees still apply.

What types of activities are offered?

Each camp offers a different variety of indoor and outdoor activities based on a weekly theme. Weekly guests are a highlight of the program.
