PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Equivalent to the day school program. This program is designed to train individuals to function as members of a treatment team to work with emotionally disturbed children, adolescents and their families.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Specialize in facilitating change in children, youth and their families experiencing a range of social, emotional or behavioural challenges
- Learn counselling techniques, communication skills and professional standards
- Implement a range of prevention, intervention and treatment strategies
- Participate in practicums
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Potential students must apply and be accepted. Applicants require Grade 12 (or equivalent) including English, or mature student status with admission tests. Significant related volunteer experience is strongly recommended. Computer literacy is required.
