PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Here’s your opportunity to learn about microcomputers and several major application areas. Topics include microcomputer operating systems and microcomputer hardware; the discipline of Software Engineering; the application of tools and methods to produce and maintain quality software systems; the role of information technology in our personal lives; information systems careers; issues relating to the use and development of information technology. The computer math course covers number systems, Boolean algebra, computer arithmetic, algebra and graphing.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
COMPC0001 and COMP0002 is offered based upon the assumption that many students already have a working knowledge the Windows operating system and the Microsoft Office products listed in each course description. Therefore in the first class all students will participate in an Assessment test. Students who are not assessed at the required level for individual modules will be able to aquire the skills through an independent study lab with individual assistance.

To receive the Certificate you must complete all of the following and apply in writing. It is recommended that you begin with COMPCO001. There are no prerequisites.
