Early Childhood Education Diploma

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Equivalent to the day school program. The Early Childhood Education Diploma program is an Ontario College Diploma offered in Hamilton. Students in the program will learn to apply collaborative skills to support your children and their families.

Students have the opportunity to observe, practice and evaluate classroom theories through field placements.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements for admission to the Early Childhood Education Diploma program.

There is only one intake annually. Potential students must apply in the spring/summer each year for a fall start.

Note: Students will be required to complete Community Disease Screening protocol before starting field placement.

Note: Registered students who have been convicted of an offence under the criminal code for which they have not been pardoned may be denied the opportunity to enter clinical placement. A certificate of 'Police Clearance" and/or 'Consent to Disclosure' may be requested by the clinical placement agency.
