PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Human-Machine Interfacing (HMI) is the essential component of any automation system. It is typically implemented using a software package on a personal computer that is collecting data in a manufacturing environment.
This program provides the Automation Professional with the skills to implement an effective HMI interface on an automation system; Work with Wonderware Software Intouch, Rockwell Software RSView and Trihedral Software Visual Tag System (VTS) to ensure familiarity with many HMI environments; Allen-Bradley controllers will be used for field interfaces. This program would be of interest to Electricians, Electrical Technologists, Technicians, Engineers as well as any System Integrators who are interested in industrial controls and automation.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Suitable background in electrical theory. For those who have completed at least the first two courses in the Programmable Logic Controler (PLC) Certificate and want to move on simultaneously to Human-Machine Interfacing.

To receive the certificate, you must successfully complete the following courses and apply in writing to the Continuing Education Engineering Technology Department.
