PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Are you serious about meeting the challenges of working in human resources? Are you interested in making a strategic contribution in your organization? Then you need this program. Acquire theoretical and practical knowledge and the skills required to become a successful practitioner of Human Resources Management in the areas of recruitment, training, performance management, compensation, health and safety, and labour relations. Courses in this program are also offered through Distance Education.
HUMAN RESOURCES NATIONAL CERTIFICATION PROCESS
In accordance with the Human Resources National Certification process CHRP candidates must have a university degree. For detailed information, please refer to the HRPA website or call 1-800-387-1311.
Graduates of the program (with an overall academic average of 70% with no individual grade lower than 65%) fulfill the academic requirements of HRPA and are eligible to write the National Knowledge Exam (NKE) and receive the CHRP designation.
Students who complete the nine required courses can apply for, and obtain, the Mohawk College Human Resources Certificate. A degree is required only if you wish to write the National Knowledge Exam.
