PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Acquire current knowledge and skills in the specialty area of mental health nursing. This newly designed program for RNs and RPNs explores concepts and trends necessary for functioning as a dynamic and innovative member of the Mental Health care team. Upon completion of the program of studies, you are eligible for the program certificate.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
RNs and RPNs must provide evidence of current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
PROGRAM OF STUDIES
There are 5 theory courses (36 hours each) plus 1 field experience ( 40 hours) included in the program of studies. The theory courses are offered in a blended format - predominantly on-line with occasional class.
