PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Network Specialist Certificate is intended to provide the necessary knowledge of networking for the small-office, home office (SOHO) market and the ability to work in small or medium businesses or organizations. This program familiarizes you with the installation and configuration of Cisco switches and routers in multiprotocol internetworks using LAN and WAN interfaces and to perform tasks in the planning, design, installation, operation and troubleshooting of Ethernet, TCP/IP Networks. A certified individual can provide Level 1 troubleshooting service and improve network performance and security. This certificate will prepare you for COMPTIA N+ and Cisco CCNA Certifications.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
It is recommended that you successfully complete the Server and Network Support Certificate. However completion of the following courses from the Server and Network Support Certificate would be considered adequate:
COMPNET01 Computer Hardware and Software
COMPNET20 Networking Basics - CCNA1
