Program Manager
Sue Vattay, is a professor and practicum coordinator in the Recreation and Leisure Services program teaching the Event Planning course since 1989. She developed and is the Program Manager for the Event Planning Techniques program in Continuing Education at Mohawk College.
Sue has completed extensive research on event and tourism trends and has coordinated many special events, trade shows and conferences. Sue has worked with numerous community partners including the Road World Cycling Championships, City of Hamilton, Tourism Hamilton Awards, Grey Cup Festivities and many more. Sue has been actively involved in committees and boards provincially including Festivals and Events Ontario, Parks and Recreation Ontario, Ontario Recreation Society, and the Hamilton Festival Network. She has served as President of Tourism Hamilton for 2 years and has been a board member for 10 years.
