Communications Centre Policy

The Communications Centre is a service that provides proofreading and help in all areas of communications:

While drop-in proofreading is often possible, we strongly encourage booking an appointment.
Be aware that during peak periods, proofreading sessions will be limited to 20 minutes.
Participate in the proofreading process.
Remember: this is a service provided for students, by students.

Assignments:

While drop-in proofreading is often possible, we strongly encourage booking an appointment.

Come in 24 hours before your assignment is due, so that you have enough time to make revisions.
Print a double-spaced copy of your assignment and bring it to proofreading session.
Bring one assignment per visit.

Other:

Please be specific when requesting a tutoring services: comma splices, sentence fragments, reading assistance, writing thesis statements.

If possible, please bring a writing sample with you to further assist the tutoring process.
