Development at Mohawk College
Since Mohawk College’s establishment more than 40 years ago, thousands of students – full-time, part-time and Continuing Education – have received the training and education to realize their ambitions for rewarding and successful careers and the chance to pursue new opportunities. These students have had the opportunity to pursue, and realize, their dreams. But times are changing. The world is more complex and there are new challenges to contend with. Students need enhanced skills, tools and training to compete and succeed in an increasingly more complex, technology-driven and globalized environment. Mohawk is prepared to meet those needs and Mohawk Development is committed to providing students, staff and the community a support system necessary for achieving success.
As a part of Mohawk College, we recognize that ‘students are at the heart of all we do’, we make it our priority to ensure that each student has access to a quality education, innovative learning models, state-of- the- art technology and financial support required to become a highly successful skilled professional.
One of the major fundraising priorities we have is to provide financial assistance to exceptional students. We believe that a college education should be available to someone willing to learn. Each year we work hard at raising bursary and scholarship funds, providing students with financial support. In addition to the bursary and scholarship program, Mohawk Development focuses on providing students with quality facilities they require to become successful professionals. Our current focus is to transform aspects of all four Mohawk Campuses to accommodate a larger number of students providing them with state-of-the-art facilities that better suit the learning models of their respective programs.
