Student Awards
At Mohawk College, we believe that no student should miss out on post-secondary education opportunities because of financial need. For students of limited means but unlimited potential, student awards remove the barriers to higher learning and future success.There are two types of awards:
- Scholarships are financial awards based on academic achievement.
- Bursaries assist students in financial need, although other criteria such as academic program may also apply. Students qualify by meeting Ontario Student Assistance Program eligibility guidelines.
Last year, Mohawk awarded over $400,000 in scholarships and bursaries to 722 deserving students. It's our intention to significantly increase the number of awards and recipients to ensure that the best and brightest students in Ontario are able to attend the program of their choice at Mohawk College, regardless of their economic reality
