Breastfeeding Program
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This program is intended for health professionals and others who educate and support breastfeeding mothers. Participants gain up-to-date knowledge and skills in breastfeeding support and awareness of current issues in lactation. The program, revised as of Sept 2011, is designed to meet new Jan 2012 IBLCE curriculum requirements for eligibility to write IBLCE certification exam and has been approved by the International Accreditation and Approval Committee(AARC) on Education in Human Lactation and Breastfeeding. Approval for CERPS recognition of courses for certificated lactation consultants is in process
Courses in this program are offered through Distance Education.
PRIOR LEARNING ASSESSMENT
Students with appropriate educational background and current clinical practice may apply for course exemption via PLA process. Please contact Program Manager for assessment and discussion of credentials.
