This 42 hour, on-line course covers all aspects of the law and documents that govern condominiums, with emphasis place on the Condominium Act, 1998. Related governance including Declarations, By-Laws and Rules will be covered as well as how and when to use lawyers and other professionals. You will learn how to discuss and explain documentation and find information. Other legislation affecting condominiums will also be discussed. Final exam.
Financial Planning for Condominium Managers - FINCCDM03
This 42 hour, on-line course is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the financial management of condominium corporations. Topics include: the accounting process, financial administration, General Ledger and coding, Financial Statements, presenting FS to the Board, understanding and preparing budgets, Reserve Funds, the Audit, investing and borrowing. Knowledge of Excel and Word required. Final Exam.
Physical Building Management - MGMTCDM02
This 42 hour, on-line course is designed to provide a working knowledge of condominium building systems and how to get the most economical life out of the building's common elements through good maintenance practices. Topics covered include: site, structure, building envelope, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, life safety, elevators, interior finishes. Final Exam. Equivalent to Facilities Management (MGMTEA631).
Condominium Administration & Human Relations - MGMTCDM04
This 42 hour on-line course is designed to provide the information, knowledge and skills required for effective day-to-day condominium management. Topics include: staff management, communication, conducting board meetings, contract management, organizing paper and time, and professionalism. Also included is the application of the Condominium Act and other legislation in day-to-day operations. Final Exam.
