Clean Air Commute Week Events
Results
After much anticipation the results are finally in from the 2011 Clean Air Commute Week. I want to start with a very big thank you to everyone who took part in this year's event.
Quick Stats:
- A total of 107 Mohawk Staff, Faculty and Students Registered with 86 of those registered logging at least on active or alternative commute.
- Collectively those who took part logged just over 8780 km of active or alternative commuting.
- Those 8780 km directly reduced the amount of pollutants released into the air by 1.4 MT of Carbon Emissions.
You should be very proud of our efforts and I look forward to your continued participation at similar events throughout the upcoming year.
All participants who logged at least 1 commute were entered into this year's bike draw. A name was randomly selected and the winner of the brand new Mongoose Vice Mountain Bike is.......
Jeannine Dallaire
All other prizes are being taken care of by Pollution Probe; you will be notified via email if you are the lucky winner of the major prizes.
Once again, thank you all for taking part in this year's event. I look forward to seeing you at similar events throughout the upcoming year.
Sincerely,
Alan Griffiths
