The 6th Gerald Marshall Centre Benefit
This year’s 6th Annual Gerald Marshall Event has come and gone and the evening could not have been a greater success. Warm emails and phone calls from attendees have been flooding the college inboxes and we have already begun planning to make next year’s event even better!
As usual, the success of this fun evening can be attributed to the great turnout from fantastic people in this wonderful community. The evening was filled with a variety of games, raffles, excellent music and food and very successful silent and live auctions.
Through sponsorship, donations and support of attendees this year’s event raised over $40,000 for Mohawk College students and the truck and coach apprenticeship programs. The generosity and support we receive for this cause year after year is truly amazing.
The Marshall family wishes to thank all who attended, and those who supported the Benefit. The previous Benefits raised approximately $215,000 in addition to the Marshall family's donation of $1.2 million. With donations from this year's event plus donations from friends and business associates of the late Mr. Marshall, the total funds raised by the Marshall family to date for the Gerald Marshall Centre for Transportation and student bursaries is getting closer and closer to our fundraising goal of $2.5 million.
