Admission Requirements
Minimum requirements for admission to the Cardiovascular Technology Diploma program
- OSSD or equivalent (GED, College and Career Preparation) including:
- Grade 12 English, C or U or equivalent
- Grade 12 Mathematics for College Technology (MCT4C) or any U level
- Grade 11 or 12 Physics
- Grade 11 or 12 Biology or Chemistry

Note: This is a limited enrolment program. Possession of the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. For competitive programs (the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available places), selection will be based on the average of the highest senior level final grades in the required courses that are available at the time of ranking.
Pre-Clinical Requirements:
All accepted applicants are required to have the following completed prior to clinical placement and are responsible for the associated costs:
- Standard First Aid
- CPR-C/HCP, recertification required annually while in the program
- Up-to-date immunization record (TB testing required annually)
- Mask fit testing, required every two years while in the program
- Up-to-date Police Clearance – Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)*
*Registered students who have been convicted of an offence under the criminal code for which they have not been pardoned may be denied the opportunity to enter or continue in a clinical placement while in the program.
