Admission Requirements

Minimum requirements for admission to the Nursing - BScN Degree Program

Note: This is a limited enrolment program. Possession of the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. Applicants to this program may be required to complete standardized testing in addition to published admission requirements. A fee may apply.

For competitive programs (the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available places), selection will be based on the average of the highest senior level final grades in the required courses that are available at the time of ranking.

Applicants directly from Ontario Secondary School

Completion of the OSSD (or equivalent) including:

A minimum of 75% average is required. Please note a minimum of 75% is required in each of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. Applicants must have attended NO postsecondary education prior to application. Students who have taken these required courses more than once will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants from an Ontario Community College Pre-Health Sciences program

Completion of a full Pre-Health Sciences program that consists of:

A minimum 75% average is required. Please note: 75% is required in each of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. No exemption credit will be granted in the program for Pre-Health Sciences courses. Students who have taken these required courses more than once will be considered on an individual basis.

Note: If graduates from a pre-health sciences program have completed any university course work, the admission decision will be based solely on their university course work.
