Program Description
Nursing - BScN (Bachelor of Science Nursing) Degree
Prepare for a career as a Registered Nurse with a nursing curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from McMaster University. BScN is now the minimum requirement for nursing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Students will develop nursing skills through a caring, client-centred scientifically-based learning model. The program will explore nursing through problem-based, small group, and self-directed learning models. Benefit from clinical placements in the health care and community agencies of Hamilton, Halton, Brantford, Niagara and surrounding areas.
Registration to Practice Nursing
Upon receiving the BScN degree from McMaster University after successful completion of the BScN program, graduates are eligible to write the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE) which is administered by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
