DemoCamp is an event format that includes a keynote speaker, software demos followed by Q&A, and general socializing with the good company in attendance. Keynote Speaker: Janna Cameron- Usability / Accessibility Specialist @ Desire2Learn. A champion for accessible design in technology, Janna Cameron’s work has been focused on extending the reach of technology to a portion of the population has been inadvertently sidelined. By working closely with developers, designers and engineers to develop a fuller understanding of how people with disabilities use the web, Janna has parlayed a passion for user research into a career that has helped remove barriers to education. AppsforHealth is becoming Ontario's premier recruiting and networking event for the mhealth and ehealth industry. This interactive two-day event provides an opportunity for professionals and students to discuss current trends in the industry while learning more about new emerging technologies. The student challenge begins on the second day of the event. Prior to the event, students choose a challenge posted by a healthcare or non-profit orgranization , join a team and find a solution. Students present their solutions at AppsforHealth 2012 for the chance to win prizes.

Startup Weekend is an intense 54 hour event which focuses on building a web or mobile application which could form the basis of a credible business over the course of a weekend. The weekend brings together people with different skillsets - primarily software developers, graphics designers and business people - to build applications and develop a commercial case around them.
