Program Description

Designed for individuals with employment experience in machining, the courses in this program develop skills in basic microcomputer operation, manual CNC programming and CAD/CAM programming. These concepts will be taught using PC-based MasterCAM. The basic CNC programming course will also review mathematical topics such as geometry and trigonometry.

Admission and Registration

You do not need to apply to begin this program. Simply ensure you meet the requirements listed on the Admission Requirements webpage prior to registering.

Grade 12 level Mathematics and the ability to interpret engineering drawings is recommended.

Basic machining parameters are not covered, therefore industrial experience in operating conventional machine tools such as turning or milling machines is recommended. if you do not have these skills, you may wish to consider:
