Dean Tony Thoma and Jay Notay visited Chinese Partner Institutions in October 2010
Tony Thoma, Dean of Engineering Technology and Jay Notay, Associate Dean of Engineering Technology visited three existing partner schools, one new partner school and one prospective partner school in China in October 2010. The visits were in five different cities in China with extensive traveling between the schools. Overall the trip was a success capped off with ceremonies in three of the schools for new students enrolled in the joint programs.
Dialogue with the senior administrators and staff of the colleges was productive with a number of action items aimed at improving communications and processes between our colleges. New opportunities were explored in new and existing program areas. The Chinese colleges were all eager to expand our relationships including future visits not only from administration but exchanges of instructors. Dean Thoma and Notay have also met two of our agents and one former instructor currently living in China as well as having the opportunity to talk with existing 2+1 students in one of our partner institutes.
