Academic Requirements

International students applying to study at Mohawk College must provide proof of their academic standing equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12 High School). The following certificates are also acceptable for admission.

Admission Requirements
Hong Kong Certificate of Education with credit standing in five academic subjects or pass standing in six academic subjects.
China Secondary School Graduation: University / College Entrance Examination with a pass in five academic subjects.
India 10+2 High School certificate with Math & Science as compulsory subjects or 10+ diploma graduates with 60% average
England, Asian countries, The West Indies and Africa The General Certificate of Education with grades of A, B, C or 1, 2, 3 in five academic subjects at the "O" or ordinary level.
Caribbean Examination Council Certificate with grades A, B, C ordinary level or the Caribbean Examination Certificate with grades A, B, C or 1, 2, 3 in five academic subjects at the general level.
From other countries We request academic records in English showing applicants have completed 12 years of education. Some preparatory (upgrading) courses at Mohawk College may be necessary prior to entering a postsecondary program. These applicants will be assessed individually.

English Language Requirement*
All classes are provided in English. Students whose first language is not English, are expected to prove their proficiency by completing any of the following:

** Exception:  Pharmacy Technician Program (Program 407) requires higher levels of  IELTS (no band less than 6.0) and TOEFL (minimum score of 91) scores.
