Electricity First Work Subsidy

Electricity First Work Program is operated by the Electricity Sector Council. Please visit their website for more information.

The objectives of the Career Focus Program are to:

Under this Program, the Electricity Sector Council (ESC) will provide eligible companies with a subsidy equal to 1/3 the eligible participant’s salary up to a maximum of $10,000 over a maximum 12 month work experience period.

How Companies Can Apply

1. Interview and select a candidate you would like to hire (must be a technician, technologist or engineer in an energy related full-time position).

1. Participant Application Form
2. Employer Eligibility Assessment
3. ESC’s Employer Information and Checklist
4. Learning Plan signed by both parties

5. Job description of position being filled
6. A copy of the participant’s résumé and their degree / diploma
