Audition requirements for Preparatory Music:
Students applying to Preparatory Music will have a performance audition on their major instrument. Applicants should come prepared to perform three selections of their own choice which will demonstrate musicianship as well as technical ability. The three selections should be contrasting (i.e. up-tempo and slow, waltz or ballad) but can be in any style. The music chosen should be in a style you are familiar with and well prepared. In addition to performing, an ear test will be given consisting of matching pitch, identifying simple chord qualities and melodic intervals.
* Please note, audition requirements are subject to change.
