Will Jarvis

Will JarvisToronto born Will Jarvis is a busy freelance bassist and educator who has been performing professionally since 1980. A graduate of the Humber College music program, Will has gained a reputation as a very versatile bassist and is equally comfortable playing jazz, rhythm & blues, funk and fusion as well as Brazilian and Cuban Music.


Will has had the pleasure of performing live with Tito Puente, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Paquito D'Rivera, Steve Gadd, Hilton Ruiz, Hilario Duran, Luis Conte and Dave Valentin. Will has also performed and recorded with many Toronto area artists including Vernon Dorge, Memo Acevedo, Bruce Cassidy's Hotfoot Orchestra, Amy Sky, The Code, Soul Stew, Pretzel Logic, Jackie Richardson, Carlos Del Junco, Carol McCartney, Louise Pitre, Colm Wilkinson and Trevor Dick's 5th String Blvd.


Musical theatre credits include performances for Ross Petty Productions, Drayton Entertainment and Dancap's Toronto production of Jersey Boys.


As an educator, Will has been teaching at the college and university level for over twenty years. Along with his duties at Mohawk College, Will is also currently on the music faculty at Humber College and York University in Toronto.
