Join Mohawk College in Celebrating National Co-op WeekHAMILTON, ON-March 18, 2005: During National Co-Operative Education Week, March 21-25, 2005, Mohawk College will be celebrating the many successes of our students and co-op employers. Co-operative education provides workplace experience and practical learning that benefits all concerned-educational institutions, employers and students. The co-operative educational learning strategy provides student with an edge in securing jobs in today's competitive marketplace.
"Co-operative education affords students an important opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom," affirms Mohawk College President MaryLynn West Moynes. "Students benefit from valuable work experience and a chance to network with professionals in their field of study and the ability to earn money to offset the cost of tuition."
During National Co-operative Education Week, the college would thanks and acknowledges partner employers and various Mohawk departments for their support in providing students with valuable experiential learning.
