OCAA Awards for Mountaineers Rugby Team
The Mohawk Mountaineers rugby team has been named the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Men’s Team of the Week and centre Brian Pearman (picture right) is the OCAA Male Athlete of the Week.
Pearman was named the MVP of the gold medal match as the Mountaineers defeated Humber 11-7 at Fletcher’s Fields in Markham Saturday (Nov. 4). The victory, the ninth straight for Mohawk this season, marked the second OCAA rugby crown for the Mountaineers, who last took the title in 2000.
