Men's volleyball team win silver OCAA medal
The Mohawk men’s volleyball team won the silver medal at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Championships at Georgian College in Barrie Saturday (Feb. 24). They were beaten 3-2 by the Algonquin Thunder of Ottawa.
Last year’s champions, the Mountaineers fell behind by two games, rallied to tie, but then lost the deciding fifth set. The scores were 22-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-22, 11-15.
Jasmin Cull recorded 25 kills and one service ace and was named Mohawk’s player of the game. He was also named to the tournament All-Stars, along with Mountaineer teammate Peter Sniuolis.
