Scapinello OCAA Student Athlete of the Week
Second-year right side Justin Scapinello (London, Ont.) has been selected by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association as its Student-Athlete of the Week for men's volleyball.
Scapinello was a key contributer in a pair of Mohawk wins, earning 19 offensive points on 12 kills, four stuff blocks and three service aces in a come-from-behind 3-2 (22-25, 24-26, 27-25, 28-26, 15-12) win over Niagara on Jan. 18. Scapinello led all players with a 14-point effort on nine kills, four aces and one block in a 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-14) win over Sheridan on Jan. 21.
