Walk Smart is a free service provided by MCACES at Fennell Campus for students, faculty and staff.

Attendants are available Monday to Thursday from 6:30pm - 10:30pm during the Fall and Winter Semesters. Attendants work in teams of two (one male and one female) to walk students and staff to their cars, bus stops or houses in the surrounding community. For your convenience walks can be scheduled so you don’t have to worry about coming to the office, we will come meet you at your classroom.
The program started as a seven week pilot program in March 1994, and operated with one coordinator and twenty volunteers. The program was received with enormous success. We have continued to grow in size and are staffed with two coordinators and a team of dedicated volunteers.
