Program Description
Electrical Engineering Technician - Power Diploma
The Electrical Engineering Technician - Power program at Mohawk College is a two year Ontario College Diploma offered at the STARRT Institute in Stoney Creek (Hamilton), Ontario.
Students in the program will have the opportunity to train for careers in light and heavy manufacturing industries and acquire:
- technical skills and knowledge of electricity and electrical circuits
- knowledge to repair, calibrate and maintain electrical instruments or devices in the operation of electrical motors, generators, power transmission or automatic equipment
This is an integrated technician-apprenticeship program where students
may also gain credits toward Apprenticeship in Industrial Electrician
through an Internship program.
Opportunities for Graduates
- Graduates are eligible to register as associate members of The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT)
